"Nice ambience and atmosphere cafe. Friendly and helpful servers. Special mention for Munie. Food wise, it's a hit and miss. Some dishes are fine while others requires some work. Portions are generous though. 1) Grilled chicken was a tad too dry. 2) Lamb chop was also dry and the meat was chewy. Other dishes were ok. Pocket friendly prices."

"I should’ve looked at the reviews first. Sadly, the food didn’t live up to expectations quite pricey and not very tasty. We paid around RM233 for four people, but it just didn’t feel worth it. The service was rather slow, the carbonara was bland, and the chicken was tough. Even the plating seemed a bit careless. Maybe the place would shine more if it focused on desserts or a coffee concept to suit its cozy vibe. Unfortunately, it’s not a spot I’d visit again."

"They didn’t have salad on the menu but they said they’d see what they could do and this very generous plate of beautifully arranged salad came. Hope it makes it onto their permanent menu cause it was delicious! The burgers and pizza’s are tasty too! Our new fav restaurant in Penang!"

"Absolutely loved my visit to Double Knott Cafe today! I came all the way from KL and decided to stop by this cafe with my niece and it was such a great choice! The food was delicious (the meatball pasta was so good!) and the hot plate brownie honestly made me crazy. It’s insanely good! I’m still missing the taste even after coming back home. The drinks were refreshing and the ambience was cozy and beautifully designed. Every corner is picture perfect. The music added such a nice, relaxing vibe and the service was just fantastic. The staff were friendly and made us feel so welcome. I’ll definitely come back here again the next time I’m in Penang. Highly recommended for anyone who loves good food, great vibes and unforgettable desserts!"

"Everything about this place was really good The food tasted great, and honestly all the dishes were nice The portion sizes are big, so it’s definitely worth it — you won’t leave hungry at all Yes, the price is a bit on the higher side, but the place and atmosphere match the pricing, so it feels reasonable Quality food + nice environment = worth it. We actually celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday here and that made the experience even more special. "Firstly, I want to say that I don’t agree with businesses asking people for good reviews while providing a discount, gift, etc… in return. This place is one of those such places and they will give you a 2% discount if you give them a 5 star rating. This is our first time here and finding a parking spot around this area is never easy so be prepared to walk a short distance during a busy day. For cake lovers, there are several choices here to choose from(Red velvet cheesecake, chocolate black forest, tiramisu, etc) The cafe is well decorated and clean with their swing chairs being part of the attraction for customers. However, we tried a table with the swing chairs and had to change to a normal table because those swing chairs are not practical to sit on. Families with kids could find their children swinging around recklessly for fun and you can’t adjust the chairs to move forward closer to the table for comfort. For the dishes, the presentations were excellent and we ordered the fish&chips, chicken chop, and chicken carbonara pasta. I find the chicken on the pasta a bit tough and the overall taste of the dish was just average. The fish&chips and chicken chop dish were alright but all our fries were tough to bite on. Service-wise, the waiter was friendly in showing us our table and taking our orders. The only hiccup was that it took the fish&chips nearly 30 minutes to arrive while all the other dishes have been out for a while. Still, I thought the overall food prices were very reasonable in the end. People who are itching to try a unique cafe with a different environment can certainly give this place a try."
